Chase Savings Account Rates Review

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

It’s been a month or so since we last looked at Chase high interest savings account rates and offers, so we here at Bank Rates Reviews thought we should look at them again for you and show you the latest. Chase Bank interest rates are pretty steady for interest-bearing checking accounts, which are still 0.01% annual percentage yield (APY), but we’re interested in the variable savings accounts instead.

For a Chase savings accounts in regular or relationship (having a checking account at Chase), the rates are tiered by deposit amount. For $0-$9,999 the rates at 0.05% (standard) and 0.10% (relationship). For $10,000 to $24,999 the rates are 0.15% APY and 0.35% APY for standard and relationship (respectively). From $25,000 to $49,999, the rates are 0.25% APY (standard) and 0.50% APY (relationship). As you can see, just the regular Chase savings account rates are pretty good.

Going to Money Market accounts, Chase high interest saving account rates get less interesting again. Rates are 0.02% APY no matter the balance (0.01% APY for standard).

Certificates of Deposit (CD) accounts are always worth considering, even for the short term, to get Chase high yield savings account rates. From 1 to 17 months, terms give 0.25% APY ($1,000 minimum deposit). Definitely worth considering, since you can open one for any number of months in the range (1, 2, 5, 9, etc.). CDs have the advantage of being fixed rate, but the disadvantage of being inaccessible until the term is up.

There are some good rates at Chase savings accounts right now. All accounts at Chase Bank are FDIC insured, of course.

We like to regularly keep an eye on Chase Bank interest rates, especially for Chase savings accounts, here at Bank Rates Reviews. Today we are updating you on the latest Chase savings account rates.

Chase savings in a standard Chase savings account have current rates of 0.01% APY as do Chase interest-bearing checking accounts.

Most are going to be interested in Chase high interest savings account options, of course. Chase high yield savings account rates are tiered according to deposit amount with minimum deposits (up to $9,999) yielding 0.10% annual percentage yield (APY). $25,000 to $49,999 gives 0.50% APY and above that yields 0.75% APY on standard, relationship rates with a Chase savings accounts option.

Money Market savings at Chase offer 0.02% APY, but allow easier access to your money in return. As a comparison, that’s worth considering over a checking option.

Anyone considering a longer-term or set market investment might think about a certificate of deposit rather than a Chase high yield savings account. A CD offers up to 3.00% APY for terms ranging from 9 to 60 months. The higest-tier Chase high yield savings account (0.75% APY) doesn’t compare to the lowest of the CDs at 9 months (+9 months auto-renew at standard rates) and 1.01% APY. Of course, a CD account has strict rules and your money is not as accessible there.

Whatever you choose, all accounts at Chase are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. Check out Chase savings account rates and see if they’re right for you.

Chase Savings Account Rates Update

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

It’s time again to update you with the latest Chase savings account rates and information. Part of our job here at Bank Rates Reviews is to keep you up-to-date on things like that and we take our job seriously.

As before, Chase Bank savings account information listed here assumes either a current Chase relationship or a high enough balance to avoid fees. To get the best Chase Bank interest rates, a Chase checking account or a higher account balance may be required. Note that Chase Bank interest rates can be had on checking accounts as well.

For Chase high interest savings, we’re looking at both Chase savings account rates as well as Chase high yield savings money market rates. A basic Chase Bank savigns account yields 0.01% annual percentage yield (APY) on all balances. Plus Chase savings account rates are higher and in tiers.

Chase Plus yields 0.10% APY up to a $9,999 balance, 0.50% APY up to a $49,999 balance, and 0.75% APY for balances above $50,000. Standard rates are lower, these rates assume relationship rates.

Chase high yield savings through money market yield 0.02% APY on all balances. This hasn’t changed since the last time we looked at Chase Bank savings account rates, but is another good baseline for comparing Chase high interest savings options.

All Chase Bank savings account rates are subject to change and all accounts listed here are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. Be sure to check to see what the current Chase Bank interest rates are before opening an account.

Chase Savings Account Rates

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

When we looked at Chase savings account rates last month, they were doing well. We figured it was time for Bank Rates Reviews to look at Chase high interest savings options again, to keep you up to date.

All of the Chase savings account rates we’re talking about here will have no fees if you already have a Chase bank account for checking. Otherwise, fees may apply if balances are not kept at a minimum required level.

For Chase high yield savings rates, we’ll look at money market accounts first. These are giving a 0.02% annual percentage yield (APY) right now, which is different than it used to be when it was in tiers. If you have larger amounts to deposit for savings, consider a regular savings account instead.

Chase high interest savings is in tiers based on deposit amount. Under $10,000 has an APY of 0.10% and goes up from there. For deposits of $10,000 to $49,999, the APY is 0.50% and over $50,000 is 0.75% APY. Definitely a good rate for consideration. These are Plus accounts at Chase and assume a relationship to avoid fees and get a higher rate. Standard savings accounts yield 0.01% APY.

These rates could change quickly and a Chase Bank savings account will be FDIC insured. Be sure to check for current Chase savings account rates before making your decision.
