There are many savings products available today for your money. However, certain features of savings products may not be ideal for your financial needs. So, it is absolutely important that you go through the features, rates and penalties of any savings product before you make a decision to invest in it. To help you in this process, we will present the salient features and rates of Chase Bank.

There are many features that come with Chase Bank money market account. When you open an account, you will automatically have access to more than 15,000 Chase ATMs located across the country. You will also have access to online statements and e-mail alerts. The monthly service fee is waived if you have a minimum daily balance of $1,500 or if your money market account is linked to any Chase checking account. Otherwise the rates are $12 per month. The minimum amount required to open an account is $25 and the interest is compounded monthly and credited to your account. The Chase interest rates have always been competitive and they are backed by the trust of the bank and insured by FDIC.

The current Chase money market rates are 0.01% APY for all balances. The Chase Bank money market rates for a relationship account are 0.02%. In order to earn relationship rates, you must have a Chase Better Banking Checking account or a Chase Workplace checking account that must have at least one transaction initiated by you in every monthly cycle and this must be linked to your money market account. These Chase money market rates are reasonably good and you can look into this avenue of investment.

Chase Bank is one of the most reliable banks in the United States today. They offer many kinds of savings and money market products to their customers. There are four kinds of savings accounts that are available, besides the certificate of deposits (CDs). The four accounts are Chase Savings, Chase Money Market Savings, Chase Plus Savings and Chase Retirement Money Market account. Each of these accounts come with a wide range of features that can suit all kinds of people. In the case of Chase money market account, the interest is compounded monthly on the daily balance. There are many transaction fees associated with it and so, one must carefully analyze these charges before opening an account. An exchange rate adjustment fee of 3% is charged for all debit card transactions or cash withdrawals that are made outside United States. Also, a $2 fee is charged when money is withdrawn in non-Chase ATMs. Besides these features, the Chase interest rates are very competitive and this makes it a good investment avenue.

The current Chase Money Market interest rates are 0.02% for all balances. This rate is applicable only for relationship accounts and for all other accounts, the Chase money market rates are 0.01% for all balances. In order to earn the relationship rate on balances, the customer must have linked the Chase Workplace checking account or the Chase Better Banking checking account to the Chase Money market savings account and these checking accounts must have at least one transaction initiated by the customer during every monthly cycle. The Chase Bank money market rates are very attractive in this current banking scenario and this is the reason many people opt for it.

Chase Money Market Rates Bulletin

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

A few weeks ago, we here at Bank Rates Reviews had a look at how Chase Bank Money Market rates are doing. Now we’re going to revisit that look and see what’s changed to bring you the latest information.

The two types of money market savings for Chase Money Market rates are the standard and the retirement savings. Both are essentially the same with the retirement money market having restrictions based on IRS rules for tax-exempt investment.

Both of these Chase money market rates are at 0.01% annual percentage yield (APY). The standard account, however, has higher Chase interest rates if you have a relationship (checking or other savings) with Chase Bank. The rate then climbs to 0.02% APY.

For those who don’t need the convenience of checking that a money market account offers and who aren’t needing a retirement account, your Chase Bank money market interest rates can be better if you just switch to a standard savings account instead. These return in tiers and are all higher than the money market return.

The Chase interest rates on up to $10,000 in deposits is 0.05% or 0.10% with relationship. They go up from there, peaking at 0.50% APY with $25,000 or more on deposit (with relationship).

Chase Bank is fully FDIC insured, of course. Both Chase money market rates and Chase interest rates on savings are variable rates that can change daily. No rate of return is guaranteed.

Chase Money Market Rates Update November 2009

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

Here at Bank Rates Reviews, we noticed it has been a while since we last looked at Chase money market rates. So we’re updating you on the latest Chase Bank money market rates so you’ll have the latest info.

There are, of course, two separate types of Chase money market interest rates: market savings and retirement. The money market savings account returns Chase interest rates of 0.02% annual percentage yield (APY) right now, no matter your deposit level. Retirement Chase money market rates give 0.01% APY and are considered a retirement account for tax purposes.

Frankly, standard savings rates are better than both of these. Balances up to $10,000 receive a 0.10% APY, up to $25,000 a 0.25% APY and more than $50,000 get 0.50% APY. Even interest-bearing checking accounts get Chase interest rates of 0.01% APY.

Of course, other options also exist, such as certificates of deposit. With a $10,000 deposit to open and maintain, specials are giving 0.75% APY for nine month terms, 1.01% APY for 13 months, 1.25% APY for 18 months, 2.00% APY for 24 months, 2.50% APY for 48 months and 3.00% APY for 60 months. These auto-renew for a like period at standard rates, which are still pretty good.

Standard rates versus Chase Bank money market rates are good with 1-17 months returning 0.25% APY, 18-59 months returning 1.01% APY, and 60-120 months giving 1.50% APY on deposits of $1,000 or higher.

Overall, there are plenty of options for savings with Chase Bank money market rates, Chase interest rates, etc.

Chase Bank is, of course, fully FDIC insured. All rates listed except for certificates of deposit are variable.

It’s time for us at Bank Rates Reviews to bring you up to date on what’s happening with Chase Money Market rates today. When we last looked at Chase Bank money market rates, they were doing pretty well with some good, solid offers. The types of accounts offered haven’t changed, but some of the rates have.

The two major types of Chase money market interest rates available are through a standard money market savings account and a retirement money market account. Both of these offer good, on par Chase interest rates, but each is geared in options towards a different type of savings investor.

The standard Chase Money market rates are offered with accounts requiring only $25 to open ($1,500 balance to avoid monthly service fees must be maintained). These Chase Money Market interest rates on these accounts are on par with the average and most of the services offered are what you’d expect from a large, national bank.

Current Chase Money Market rates for these standard MM accounts are 0.02% annual percentage yield (APY).

For a Chase Bank money market rates on retirement MM accounts, the rate is 0.01% APY with a $100 minimum deposit to open. These accounts receive tax-free or reduced benefits from the IRS, however, so be sure to talk to your tax advisor and retirement investment expert before utilizing one of these to be sure it’s right for you.

In all, the Chase Bank money market rates are about equal to the national average for savings right now. These are popular accounts, of course, so many people prefer them for their access and superior savings abilities.

All Chase Bank accounts are FDIC insured. Check the latest Chase interest rates and we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date here at Bank Rates Reviews too.

Chase Money Market Rates Update

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

When we looked at Chase Money Market rates last, there were three accounts to consider: two kinds of Chase money market interest rates and a Chase savings account rates option. We here at Bank Rates Reviews thought it was time to bring you up to date on the latest at Chase Bank rates.

The Chase money market interest rates options are a standard money market and a retirement savings money market. The largest difference between these is the retirement Chase Bank account is tax-deferred whereas the standard Chase money market rates are not.

The Chase money market interest rates are in two tiers by deposit amount. The Chase money market rates are 0.02% APY for standard money market accounts (with relationship) and 0.01% APY for retirement savings.

Standard Chase savings account rates are at 0.01% APY, but a Plus savings account can go up to 0.75% for balances above $50,000.

The Chase money market interest rates require a $25 minimum opening deposit, as does the standard savings account. The Retirement account requires a higher deposit to open and may require linkage to an IRA account in some states.

All Chase Bank account offers are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. These rates change regularly, so make sure you’re up with the latest information before opening an account.

Chase Money Market Rates

Post from: Bank Rates Reviews

Let’s face it, banks are looking for deposits right now in order to bolster their bottom lines, which makes this a “depositor’s market.” Chase Bank, being the largest bank in the world as a part of JPMorgan Chase, is no different and right now, Chase money market rates are very good. We thought we’d better have a look so that our readers here at Bank Rates Reviews can get the latest.

Chase Bank account options for money market savings include a money market, retirement, and a high-yield savings account. The first two both have Chase money market interest rates and options while the latter is a standard savings account with some extras.

If you have a Chase Bank account for checking, then these three accounts will carry no service fees, otherwise minimum deposits or monthly fees will apply. Let’s look at the Chase money market rates first.

The Chase money market interest rates vary regularly, of course, but are currently around a tiered annual percentage yield (APY) of 0.10% to 1.0% depending on deposit amounts. A $10,000 deposit will yield 0.5% while $100,000 will give 1.0% APY. The Chase money market interest rates for the retirement account is the same, but allows for additional deposits at any time plus a few other bonuses.

Looking at the higher-yield Chase Plus savings, the Chase savings account rates have a similarly tiered interest yield, but have unlimited deposits and withdrawals and can be linked to a Chase Bank account for checking as overdraft protection.

Of course, Chase Bank rates vary quickly and can change by location as well, but we think you’ll want to have a look to see if Chase savings account rates are what you’re looking for.
