Chase Money Market Rates Review

It’s time for us at Bank Rates Reviews to bring you up to date on what’s happening with Chase Money Market rates today.  When we last looked at Chase Bank money market rates, they were doing pretty well with some good, solid offers.  The types of accounts offered haven’t changed, but some of the rates have.

The two major types of Chase money market interest rates available are through a standard money market savings account and a retirement money market account.  Both of these offer good, on par Chase interest rates, but each is geared in options towards a different type of savings investor.

The standard Chase Money market rates are offered with accounts requiring only $25 to open ($1,500 balance to avoid monthly service fees must be maintained).  These Chase Money Market interest rates on these accounts are on par with the average and most of the services offered are what you’d expect from a large, national bank.

Current Chase Money Market rates for these standard MM accounts are 0.02% annual percentage yield (APY).

For a Chase Bank money market rates on retirement MM accounts, the rate is 0.01% APY with a $100 minimum deposit to open.  These accounts receive tax-free or reduced benefits from the IRS, however, so be sure to talk to your tax advisor and retirement investment expert before utilizing one of these to be sure it’s right for you.

In all, the Chase Bank money market rates are about equal to the national average for savings right now.  These are popular accounts, of course, so many people prefer them for their access and superior savings abilities.
