Chase Money Market Rates Update
When we looked at Chase Money Market rates last, there were three accounts to consider: two kinds of Chase money market interest rates and a Chase savings account rates option. We here at Bank Rates Reviews thought it was time to bring you up to date on the latest at Chase Bank rates.
The Chase money market interest rates options are a standard money market and a retirement savings money market. The largest difference between these is the retirement Chase Bank account is tax-deferred whereas the standard Chase money market rates are not.
The Chase money market interest rates are in two tiers by deposit amount. The Chase money market rates are 0.02% APY for standard money market accounts (with relationship) and 0.01% APY for retirement savings.
Standard Chase savings account rates are at 0.01% APY, but a Plus savings account can go up to 0.75% for balances above $50,000.
The Chase money market interest rates require a $25 minimum opening deposit, as does the standard savings account. The Retirement account requires a higher deposit to open and may require linkage to an IRA account in some states.
